:: Substance Abuse

I am a retired USAF Senior Noncommissioned Officer (SNCO) veteran who served for 24 years. I'm a good example of the unofficial moniker of USAF firefighters, "A jack of all trades...master of none."  A fateful encounter eventually led me to experience SR for myself, and with encouragement from my counselor have embarked to become a SR Practioner myself. I am grateful to have been on a different life journey since that fateful encounter, and appreciate being given an opportunity to learn more about myself and give back to those who also would like to experience a different and better life with SR.

I have been interested in the motivation for substance abuse for as long as I can remember. I guess that's because my family was plagued with addiction problems and I struggled with my own substance abuse issues. Now I am on a mission to prevent this abuse because it hurts you and your families. I have been a phone counselor at the Crisis  Hotline, have heard many stories, and have helped many people think through their addiction. Now I want to help you. I currently hold a Master's degree in Education with a concentration in School Counseling, have dealt with many adolescents who have addiction problems, and can tell you that substance abuse can begin early in life and can haunt you well into your adult life. I would like to help you and/or your adolescent if you or they are dealing with substance abuse issues.
